Project Overview

SEN Talk Tags produces specialist communication aids for children and adults with additional needs. As demand for their products grew, so did the number of 3D printers in their workspace — and the pressure on the available space.

Printers were occupying desk space and working areas, making the environment increasingly congested and difficult to manage. The business needed a practical solution that would create a dedicated production area, free up working space and provide room for further expansion.

The Challenge

The existing workspace had become congested as the number of 3D printers grew to meet increasing production demands. Printers were spread across desks and working areas, creating a disorganised environment that made it difficult to manage production efficiently.

The available floor space was limited, so the solution needed to make better use of the vertical space already available — creating a dedicated print farm area without requiring additional floor space.

Our Solution

True Space Solutions supplied and installed heavy-duty longspan shelving to create a dedicated 3D print farm area within the existing workspace.

The shelving was configured to accommodate the existing printers across multiple levels, making use of previously unused vertical space. The layout was designed to provide easy access to each printer and to allow for additional printers to be added in future.

Storage for filament, materials and consumables was incorporated into the design, keeping everything organised and accessible within the same area.

The Transformation

By moving the printer fleet away from individual desks and making better use of vertical space, the existing room was transformed into a dedicated production area.

The Result

The completed installation created a clean, organised and dedicated production area for the 3D print farm. Printers were removed from desk and working areas, freeing up space for other activities.
