Used Equipment Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
True Space Solutions Ltd is committed to transparency in how we source, assess, and supply used pallet racking and warehouse equipment. This policy sets out our approach to the sale and installation of used equipment.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all used pallet racking, shelving, and associated warehouse equipment supplied by True Space Solutions Ltd, whether sold independently or as part of an installation project.
2. Sourcing
All used equipment supplied by True Space Solutions Ltd is sourced from reputable suppliers or directly from client decommissions. We do not knowingly supply equipment that has been involved in a structural failure or that has been subject to unauthorised repair.
3. Assessment and Grading
Prior to supply, all used equipment is visually inspected and assessed against SEMA guidelines. Equipment is graded as follows:
Grade A — Minimal wear. Suitable for continued use without repair. Grade B — Moderate wear or minor cosmetic damage. Suitable for use following any recommended remedial work. Grade C — Significant wear or damage. Supplied for parts or low-load applications only, with appropriate load notice amendments.
Grade and condition are disclosed to the customer prior to purchase.
4. Load Capacity
Used equipment may have a reduced safe working load compared to equivalent new equipment. True Space Solutions Ltd will advise on appropriate load capacities based on the condition of the equipment supplied. Customers must not exceed the load capacities specified in the accompanying documentation or load notices.
5. Installation
Where True Space Solutions Ltd installs used equipment, the installation will be carried out in accordance with SEMA guidelines and the manufacturer's original specification where available. Load notices will be issued or updated to reflect the installed configuration and the condition of the equipment.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers purchasing used equipment are responsible for:
Ensuring the equipment is suitable for their intended application before purchase. Carrying out or commissioning a SEMA-compliant inspection of the installed equipment within 12 months of installation, or sooner if the equipment is subject to heavy use or forklift impact. Maintaining the equipment in accordance with SEMA guidance and the Health and Safety Executive's HSG76 recommendations. Not modifying, repairing, or adding to the equipment without appropriate competence or professional advice.
7. Warranty and Liability
Used equipment is supplied without manufacturer warranty. True Space Solutions Ltd warrants that equipment supplied is in the condition described at the time of sale. This warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, overloading, forklift impact, or modification after delivery.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
